The Knight Community Information Challenge just announced a contest "to help place-based foundations fund local news and information projects to help residents be informed and engaged around the issues that matter most."

This a great opportunity for Community Media Centers to reach out to their Community Foundations to create partnerships around hyperlocal citizen journalism initiatives.
