Open Media Project Seeks Expansion Partners

The Open Media Project has announced a new opportunity for public access centers located in rural areas, or urban areas where less than 40% of the population has broadband web access, to make the jump to PEG 2.0 capacities.

They're looking for partners to apply for the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program and extend the Open Media Project to new locales by implementing the project's tool set in 2010 and 2011.

Social Media Workshops for Community Media Centers

The Alliance for Community Media is offering two social media workshops in August: “Social Media 101″ and “Using Facebook to Advocate for Your Community Media Center”. The webinars will be led by Angela Siefer of Shiny Door.
